Abstract Light intensity is the result from Kerr effect measurement that can be used in determining electric field distributions dielectric liquids as analysis continues afterwards. One of most important parameters to consider designing experiment constant test liquid. This paper aims study and compare light distribution different using method. Propylene carbonate, transformer oil purified water are liquids. From results obtained, intensities a function compared. With higher constant, low voltages applied liquid but with larger optical signals. Furthermore, length electrodes designed accordingly suit experimental setup.
